Welcome to the

Fire Department of Liberty Township

The operations bureau is a combination volunteer and paid part-time organization consisting of firefighters trained as EMT's and Paramedics.  We provide fire, rescue, and EMS services. The department responds from 2 stations.

The fire prevention bureau consists of one fire marshal, two fire investigators, and two certified fire life safety educators that serve as the community risk reduction specialists for the department. Together these personnel provide fire & life safety through code enforcement, plans review, fire inspections of new and existing occupancies and public education.

The fire and EMS training bureau is coordinated by captains working with each other and other local departments with adjunct instructors to maintain standards that are required by the State.

We provide services to approximately 7,000 citizens of Liberty Township and the Town of Clayton. Included in the 49 square miles that FDLT covers is Interstate 70, State Road 39, US 40, eleven million square feet of industrial warehouse facilities and their thousands of employees, Cascade High School and Middle School complex and Mill Creek East Elementary.
